Why infographics make your boring information better
As attention spans get shorter and shorter and the world expects to get information faster and faster, infographics become all the more important. You may be asking yourself what an infographic is like I did when I first heard the term used, but it really is a simple term. It is just what it says: some kind of graphical representation of information. This can be accomplished in a lot of different ways which makes infographics so exciting, but it’s now more important than ever to get it done right. This isn’t the internet of the 90’s anymore. A simple bar graph or pie chart is much better than just having text, but it doesn’t quite cut it anymore. To accomplish all that you want, see our top steps to a great infographic.
- Keep it clever – decide on a theme to represent your information
- Stay concise – get your point across with as few words as possible
- Keep it clean looking – if you don’t like looking at it, neither will your audience
- Use colors – Black and white isn’t good enough
- Get the point across – Your infographic is only good if people understand it
